Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services announces seminar focusing on professionals who wish to develop or expand their skills in working with the those who have lost a loved one. 

The two part series titled “Balanced Grieving” and “It’s Complicated; Men’s Grief” will be Tuesday, September 18 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Millennium Centre in Johnson City. 

The first session, Balance Grieving, is focused on providing the necessary tools to help the bereaved become unstuck and find balance. The second session will examine the specific challenges men experience with death and will provide strategies for how professionals can help them. 

The seminar is open to a wide range of professionals including physicians, nurses, social workers, funeral directors, counselors, educators, psychologists, hospice personnel, clergy, lay ministers, chaplains, healthcare workers and more.

Dr. Jason Troyer will be the speaker of both sessions. Dr. Troyer has a master’s degree in counseling from Truman State University and his doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Kansas.
