More than a dozen people become new United States citizens at ceremony in Abingdon

ABINGDON, Va. (WJHL)- On Friday fourteen applicants from China, Thailand, Vietnam, and many other countries completed their long journey in becoming United States citizens.

The naturalization ceremony took place at the Federal Courthouse in Abingdon.

The ceremony concluded a long process for these applicants.

We’re told a naturalization ceremony takes place three times a year.
