Man in custody after standoff in Bristol, Virginia

BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) –  Bristol, Virginia police said a man is in custody following a standoff Saturday night.

Bristol, Virginia Police Department Captain Maynard Ratcliff said a man called from a home on Roo Place saying his home was being invaded.

Cameron Sells now faces several charges, according to police, including discharging a fireman inside a home. 

Ratcliff said while officers were on the way, they found out the person who was calling fired a gun.

We’re told two other people were inside the home saying they were being held against their will.

Police said those two people were able to escape.

Ratcliff said police were in a brief standoff with the Sells. He was eventually taken into custody.

There were no injuries, police said.
