An Elizabethton man is facing charges in Johnson City after an early morning shooting. According to the Johnson City Police Department, the shooting happened Tuesday morning around 2:25 a.m. in an apartment in the 100 block of Mulberry Street in Johnson City.

Christopher Allen Blevins, age 45, has been charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of reckless endangerment.

Police said when they arrived they found two victims, one of which they said had three to four gunshot wounds and several cuts. The other victim had cuts and a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Both are being treated at the Johnson City Medical Center and are expected to recover.

Officers said they determined Blevins went to the apartment to confront one of the victims’ what they said was an “ongoing dispute involving a female acquaintance.” Reportedly, a fight started between Blevins and the occupants of the home.

Blevins is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in general sessions court on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
