A Kingsport man died this weekend in an officer-involved shooting in Florida, officials said.
Officials with the Gulf County Sheriff’s office said Joseph D. Durman, 46, died at the scene of the shooting that happened just after 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Gulf County Sheriff’s Office officials released Durman’s identity on Wednesday.
FDLE is still investigating the incident. Reports said a pursuit of Durman began in Bay County and ended on Avenue A.
Durman died at the scene after being shot.
