A Kingsport man is facing more than two dozen counts of identity theft after Johnson City police said multiple victims reported fraudulent credit card use.

The Johnson City Police Department arrested 27-year-old Adam Garland, of Kingsport, on Saturday and charged him with 27 counts of identity theft, 23 counts of property theft (under $1,000) and five counts of fraudulent credit card use under $1,000.

JCPD says reports identity theft came from several victims between November 20, 2018, to December 5, 2018.

Investigators say the credit cards were used at various locations in Johnson City.

Garland is currently behind bars at the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $20,300 bond.
