People wanting to learn more about child passenger seat safety are now in luck, thanks to Kingsport emergency workers.
Starting today, open child passenger seat checkpoints will be held at the Kingsport Fire Department Station I from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Checkpoints will be held on the first Friday of each month at the station, located at 130 Island Street.
Barry Brickey, KFD public information officer, says the checkpoints will feature technicians from different agencies across the region. The checkpoints will be used as a way for experts to check seats and instruct families on the proper ways to use the devices.
