A new board game based on Johnson City will soon hit shelves at local Walmart stores.

The game, called Johnson City-opoly, features local landmarks like ETSU, Boone Lake, Tweetsie Trail, and Buffalo Mountain Park just to name a few.

So how do you play?

“Buy your favorite Johnson City properties, increase your rent by collecting City Blocks and trading them in for Keys to the City,” explains the game’s manufacturer, Late for the Sky. “Sound easy? Well, add in some traffic jams, property tax and parking fines and it gets a little more difficult and a lot more fun!”

Johnson City-opoly will be available at Walmarts in Johnson City for $19.98. The manufacturer says games will begin arriving next week.
