Johnson City Commission selects firm for city manager search


JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Johnson City leaders have selected a firm to assist in the search for a new city manager.

The City Commission approved negotiating with Strategic Government Resources of Keller, Texas.

The city is hoping to announce a replacement for longtime city manager Pete Peterson, who announced his retirement in March, over the next six to eight months.

Ten firms submitted proposals to assist in recruiting a new city manager.
