JCPD: One person arrested following mobile home park shooting


UPDATE: (9 a.m. Friday, May 3) – Johnson City Police have arrested a man in connection to a shooting at a mobile home park on Thursday morning.

According to police, Daniel Clark, 21, of S. Roan Street, is charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, convicted felon in possession of a handgun and possession of a handgun in the commission of a dangerous felony.

Officer said Clark was arrested about 9 p.m. Thursday following an extensive search.

He was found at west Johnson City residence and taken in for questioning.

Clark is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $170,000 bond. Clark will be arraigned Friday in Washington County court.


UPDATE: (11:55 a.m.) – The Johnson City Police Department has released more details about an early morning shooting at a trailer park off South Roan Street.

According to the report, officers were dispatched to the home at the Heritage Mobile Home Park about 2:52 a.m. Thursday.

Upon arrival, officers found a man shot in the face. The victim was taken to Johnson City Medical Center where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

The investigation has revealed that an unknown acquaintance shot the victim and left the scene before officers arrived.

The investigation is still in the preliminary stages with many people being interviewed. The Johnson City Police Department is asking for anyone with possible information relating to this shooting to contact the Johnson City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 434-6166.

According to officers, they received a medical call shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday to the Heritage Mobile Home Park. When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. 

Police on the scene told News Channel 11 there are persons of interest, but couldn’t give any more information at the time.

The victim was taken to Johnson City Medical Center and is in stable condition.
