JCPD: Man discovered in park now faces counterfeit money, drug charges

Johnson City Police Department investigators say a local man now faces several charges after he was discovered slumped over in his car and later led police on a foot chase.  

According to a police report from JCPD, officers discovered Deon S. Presnell, 22, at Willow Springs Park yesterday after 5:30 p.m.  

Officers say they contacted Presnell, who gave officers three different social security numbers that did not match him.  

Once confronted, investigators say Presnell left the scene and led police on a short foot chase before getting taken into custody.  

Deputies say after further investigation; it was revealed the Presnell was in possession of three counterfeit $100 bills with matching serial numbers and drug paraphernalia.  

Presnell was transported to the Washington County Detention Center and is expected to be arraigned in court this morning.
