Johnson City Police have charged a Bristol, Tennessee man after he reportedly jumped out of a third floor window at the John Sevier Center to avoid being arrested.
Police were called to the John Sevier Center for reports of a man wandering the hallways and entering apartments.
Police located Victor Beaver, 56, inside one of the apartments. When officers walked in, Beaver jumped out of a third floor window to avoid being arrested.
Police said he landed on the balcony roof of the first floor and suffered minor injuries.
Beaver was taken into custody and transported to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment.
He was later transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
Johnson City Police charged Beaver with two counts of aggravated burglary, theft and evading arrest.
Beaver is being held on a $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court later today.
