JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) – Hundreds of runners hit the pavement Saturday in Jonesborough for the 10th Annual Haunted Half Marathon just in time for Halloween.
Some runners dressed up in their best spooky or fun costumes for the race.
This is the second year the race has called Jonesborough home.
“Jonesborough is just the perfect fit for a half marathon at Halloween because it’s Tennessee’s oldest town, and it kind of has that history and that spooky feel,” Co-director of the event, Natalie Whitlock said.
Money raised Saturday goes towards “Paws in Blue” to help the Jonesborough Police Department get another K9 officer.
