Tri-Cities high school students are ready to compete in the 26th Annual Envirothon at Warriors State Park Wednesday.
The competition is made possible through Appalachian Resource Conservation and Development. The competition will begin at 8:45 with the award presentation will begin shortly after noon, according to a release.
This regional competition features students in grades 9th through 12th and are tested on a variety of fields including aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife and a current environmental issue which is decided by the North American Envirothon team.
The team from our region with the highest score will move on to the state competition where they will compete for a chance to go on to the national competition.
