Greeneville Police say a woman faces several charges after a routine traffic stop on Friday.
According to investigators, a deputy performed a traffic stop of a silver Chevrolet Impala on East Andrew Johnson Highway due to a report of switched tags.
The driver, Julia Turner, told officers that her license was suspended and was unable to provide insurance, according to investigators.
A search of the vehicle allowed deputies to discover two bongs, nine stem-type pipes with residue, six butane torches, and other paraphernalia.
Police say when Turner arrived at the Greene County Detention Center, she started to show “suspicious activity.”
After a search of Turner, deputies say they found two bags of meth and two cut straws, which they say Turner attempted to ingest.
Turner’s court date has not been announced at this time.
