GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL)- A Greeneville man was arrested after deputies said he reportedly agreed to buy a minor tobacco in exchange for sexual favors.

Deputies first responded to Free Will Baptist Family Ministries on Tuesday for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

That’s when a complainant told deputies a car had made several trips onto the property.

According to the report, ‘He explained that it would drive up, see him, and then leave.’

Deputies found the vehicle in question and identified the driver as 50-year-old Robert Thomas, and the passenger as the victim in this case.

After speaking to the victim deputies discovered that Thomas reportedly met the victim on an online dating app and that he agreed to purchase the victim ‘tobacco in exchange for sexual favors.’

Robert Thomas was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was jailed in Greene County on a $20,000 bond.

Thomas was due in court Wednesday morning.
