JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Saturday in Johnson City – a celebration of the lawyers who volunteer their time offering free legal advice to the community.

The Washington County Bar Association has partnered with Good Samaritan Ministries now for 10 years.

The lawyers use the ministry space to offer free legal aid to anyone who needs it, on the first Saturday of every month.

Saturday – a luncheon to celebrate the strong decade long partnership.

“Upper East Tennessee, we have some very very severe poverty region. But that’s what we try to do is to provide that legal connection so people can have access to our court system,” Washington County Free Legal Clinic Coordinator Tony Seaton said.

Good Samaritan Ministries is grateful to work with this group of lawyers.

“We don’t deserve it, but we’re so greatly privileged to have the opportunity,” Great Samaritan Ministries CEO Aaron Murphy said.

The clinic is available the first Saturday of each month, excluding holidays, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Good Samaritan Ministries in downtown Johnson City.
