Firefighters battle house fire in Camp Creek Wednesday morning

GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL)- Fire crews said no injuries were reported after a house fire Wednesday morning in the Camp Creek area of Greene County.

According to Camp Creek Fire Dept. Chief, Jack Wilburn, the fire started around a computer that was inside of a home on Camp Creek Road.

Wilburn said the homeowner was there at the time but was able to make it out safely.

That homeowner was trying to put out the fire with a garden hose when firefighters arrived.

We’re told the home suffered significant damage and is considered a total loss.

Fire crews from Tusculum, Sunnyside, Debusk, and the sheriff’s department all responded to the fire.
