The Town of Erwin has approved a contract between the county and MedicOne to provide ambulance service to the town’s residents.
The Erwin Board and Mayor and Aldermen agreed to enter an interlocal agreement with the county Monday evening.
As part of the agreement, MedicOne will provide ambulance service inside the town of Erwin for a period of four years.
This comes after the county approved a new contract with the ambulance service provider last December. Since the contract included providing service inside Erwin, the town’s board of mayor and aldermen had to approve it.
