Eastman Chemical Company is honoring Black History Month by bringing in an Off-Broadway play celebrating the men known as the Tuskegee Airmen.

The live performance of the Black Angels Over Tuskegee is coming to Kingsport on Thursday, February 21.

Eastman is taking care of the cost of running the play. So that means, admission to the play is free.

Layson Gray’s adaptation is inspired by true events. The award-winning production is an account about six men embarking on a journey to become the first black aviators in the United States Army Air Forces.

The play starts at 6:00 p.m. at Eastman’s Toy F. Reid Employee Center located at 400 S. Wilcox Drive in Kingsport. Eastman says seating is first-come-first-serve, so get there early.

Black Angels Over Tuskegee is one of the longest-running productions Off-Broadway. Learn more about the play at www.blackangelsovertuskegee.com.
