East Tennessee teen Drake McCain survives Hollywood round of ‘Idol’

RHEA COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) He’s made it through the Hollywood round of American Idol, y’all. 

East Tennessee’s Drake McCain Taylor, the friendly 17-year-old from Rhea County, was marked one of those that made it through in Monday night’s episode. 

McCain performed, Always On My Mind. 

Drake, whose stage name is Drake McCain, advances to the next level of the competition singing show. 

The next episode airs Sunday, March 31, which is Showcase/Final Judgment Week in Hawaii.
