The Dobyns-Bennett High School Band won the Class AAA National Championship and placed 10th overall at the Bands of America Grand National Championships in Indianapolis.

The band also received an invitation to the 2020 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.

According to Director of Bands Lafe Cook, the DB Band competed with more than 100 other bands from across the country this weekend.

The competition was held inside Lucas Oil Stadium, on the same field where the Indianapolis Colts play.

Cook says the DB Band won the Class AAA National Championship, Best Music and Best General Effect for Class AAA, and was selected as a finalist and placed 10th overall.

The band will make its fourth appearance in the Tournament of Roses Parade in 2020.
