BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — This year, News Channel 11 is celebrating seven decades of delivering you local news and weather. To mark this milestone, newscasts will be on the road each month to visit different communities in the viewing area.

On Wednesday, News Channel 11 will highlight what makes Bristol, Virginia a good place to live and a great place to visit. Guests to newscasts included elected officials and even former Hell’s Kitchen contestant Chef T, who showcased some of what guests to her restaurant Union 41 can expect.

Starting at 6 a.m., join Kelly Grosfield, Kasey Marler and Jeremy Eisenzopf at Blackbird Bakery.

If you can’t join the morning crew, make plans to meet up with Sara Diamond, Mark Reynolds, Anslee Daniel and Kenny Hawkins at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum at 4 p.m.

On Tuesday night, the Bristol Virginia City Council recognized Sept. 26 as WJHL Day in Bristol and issued a proclamation. Kelly Grosfield was there to accept the honor.

Be sure to catch News Channel 11 and ABC Tri-Cities in person or on-air to celebrate the milestone.
