Investigators with the Carter County Sheriff’s Office say that a Hampton man is charged with evading arrest and carrying “some type” of contraband into the county jail inside his rectum.

In a report issued by the office, deputies say they received a report of Johnathan Berical, 25, was at Swimming Pool Road and was wanted for an outstanding warrant.

According to deputies, they tried to contact Berical at his home at the front door but the suspect reportedly left the scene on foot.

Berical reportedly hopped a fence and made his way through a trailer park before being captured by police.

Deputies say that during an x-ray scan at the jail, they discovered “some sort of” contraband inside the suspect.
