A Carter County Sheriff’s Office deputy is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into alleged misconduct.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed First Judicial District Attorney General Ken Baldwin asked the agency to open an investigation into allegations of misconduct involving Deputy Nick Andes Tuesday morning.
CCSO Public Information Officer Thomas Gray confirmed Deputy Andes is on administrative leave. The sheriff’s office denied our request for the police report in this case and subsequent 911 records because they are “part of an active investigation,” according to Gray
News Channel 11 independently obtained multiple copies of that report, which names Deputy Andes as a suspect and accuses a man with a badge of pulling a gun and throwing a 10-year-old to the ground Friday.
