NASCAR’s best return to East Tennessee for the Food City 500 weekend, featuring the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR K&N Series.
Action kicks off Friday, April 7 with Bush’s Beans Pole Day. The day features exciting knockout qualifying for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series as well as practice for both MENCS and the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Following on-track action, fans will want to head to Food City Family Race Night in Hospitality Village on Friday, one of the longest and most popular fan festivals on the NASCAR circuit.
Saturday action on-track features double the excitement with the Alsco 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series and Zombie Auto 150 NASCAR K&N Series races.
Sunday’s Food City 500 serves as the main event for the April race weekend. NASCAR’s best will battle around the high banks of The Last Great Colosseum

BMS to celebrate 40th anniversary of Dale Earnhardt’s first career Cup win: In April 1979, a rookie named Dale Earnhardt picked up his first career Cup Series win at the Southeastern 500.
In honor of this milestone, BMS will celebrate with fans throughout the Food City 500 weekend, The first 10,000 fans through the gates at the Food City 500 will receive a free commemorative poster from a painting by motorsports artist Bill Patterson, inspired by a photo from the BMS archives of Earnhardt’s car crossing the finish line with his arm held high outside the door
The Old Victory Lane display in the Fan Midway near Hospitality Village will pay homage to Earnhardt’s 1979 win.
The 2019 Food City 500 commemorative program will feature a 1970’s throwback look with a photo of Dale Earnhardt celebrating in Victory Lane on the cover
Bigger, Bolder Pre-Race Pit Party: BMS officials are inviting NASCAR fans to get closer than they’ve ever been before to experience a bigger, bolder and louder pre-race pit party that will showcase country music superstar Randy Houser and provide the official kick-off for the Food City 500 on Sunday, April 7th.
The new pre-race concept was inspired during an off-season Twitter conversation between NASCAR star Clint Bowyer and SMI CEO Marcus Smith.
Bowyer tweeted to Smith that he wanted to see more flames, smoke and dazzle during Bristol pre-race activities and Smith told him without hesitation that The World’s Fastest Half-Mile would be happy to oblige.
Transporter Parade: The fan-favorite BMS Transporter Parade is moving to the Food City 500 weekend!
On Thursday, April 4, the NASCAR haulers will depart the Bass Pro Shops at the Pinnacle around 7 p.m. and make the nine-mile trek to the Speedway passing State Street.
Pre-Race Pit Stop: The Pre-Race Pit Stop is your ticket to all the action of BMS’ new pre-race pit party.
The Pre-Race Pit Stop includes access to the pre-race concert featuring Randy Houser as well as Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver intros. For more information, click here
Teen Pricing: With the growth of the kids and college ticket pricing programs at Bristol Motor Speedway, track officials are adding another option to provide more flexibility and help reduce costs for families with the addition of its new teen pricing program.
In the new program, teenagers ages 13-19 are now eligible for half price tickets with the purchase of an adult ticket to Bristol’s NASCAR events, including both the April and August race weekends.
For all races, each teen must have a physical ticket in hand to enter the gates. The Bristol Motor Speedway ticket office and Ticketmaster are the only two authorized locations that can produce the teen-priced tickets.
Turn 1 Tavern: This new premium experience is the only combined indoor/outdoor suite at BMS.
The climate-controlled area of the suite features a cigar-lounge feel, complete with leather, theatre-style seating, brick walls reminiscent of a speakeasy, and an impressive selection of bourbon and other spirits.
Want more of an open-air racing experience? Grab the cigar and/or beverage of your choice and step outside onto the rooftop deck to enjoy the best views The Last Great Colosseum has to offer.
Half-Mile Hangouts: Located on concourse level, these lounge areas will offer fans comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, charging stations, games and craft beer selections.
Fun Squad: Grandstand entertainment comes to life with the addition of the BMS Fun Squad.
Watch for these Speedway ambassadors as they hand out prizes and rev up the crowd during cautions, stage breaks and more.
