Boeing 737 from TRI makes emergency landing at Knoxville airport

A Delta Air Lines flight landed safely Sunday morning at McGhee-Tyson airport.

The plane was a Boeing 737 and the crew reported a nose gear issue and declared an emergency.

The flight departed Tri-Cities Airport in Tennessee and was headed to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when it was diverted.

The FAA will investigate the incident.
