History is being made today in Nashville as businessman Bill Lee becomes Tennessee’s 50th Governor.

Lee won his bid for governor with 60 percent of the votes back in November, however, he is aiming to be a governor for all Tennesseans.

Lee’s press secretary issued excerpts from the upcoming speech, including the following comment.

“We are famous for our three grand divisions of East, Middle and West Tennessee, represented by the three stars on our flag. It is important however to remember that the blue circle around the three stars on our flag represents the unity of our state. I believe that Tennesseans have much more that unites us than divides us.”

The inauguration will take place in Nashville at 11 a.m. central standard time (noon eastern time)

News Channel 11 will be providing live video from the inauguration and coverage throughout the day.
