LEBANON, Va. (WJHL) — The Russell County Courthouse was evacuated and searched after an anonymous bomb threat was called in, authorities said.
Authorities are currently investigating a bomb threat at the Russell County Courthouse in Lebanon.
Russell County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Bill Watson said law enforcement were called to the courthouse in Lebanon Tuesday afternoon. Some roads around the courthouse had to be closed.
According to Lebanon Police Chief Eric Deskins, his agency, county deputies and Virginia State Police searched the courthouse. A K9 was also brought in to assist.
Watson said nothing was found and officers cleared the scene shortly after 4 p.m.
