Authorities identify five people rescued from Cyclops Cave on Sunday

RUSSELL COUNTY, Va. (WJHL)- Authorities in Russell County, Virginia have identified the five men rescued from a cave over the weekend.

According to Russell County Sheriff Steve Dye, all five of the men were taken to the hospital after they were rescued to be treated for hypothermia-related injuries.

The five men in the cave were identified by authorities as 55-year-old Mark Webb, 34-year-old Anthony Webb, 55-year-old David Gobble, 54-year-old Jason McFaddin, and 55-year-old Jeff Jackson, all from Lebanon, Virginia. 

Authorities added that 22-year-old David Webb was also exploring the gave, but was able to rescue himself and call 911 for help. 

Both local and state agencies aided in the lengthy rescue effort Sunday.
