Thousands of people are gathering in downtown Erwin for the 41st Annual Apple Festival.
The festival brings food and craft vendors from across the region.
Chamber of Commerce Director Amanda Delp said this is the largest event held in Unicoi County every year.
She said this year there are 350 vendors with two entertainment stages.
“It has a tremendous economic impact on Unicoi County and obviously on downtown Erwin,” Delp said. “The vendors that are coming in, as well as the visitors that are coming in, they are spending that sales tax revenue.”
The Apple Festival runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.
