Abingdon police trying to locate missing high school student

Abingdon police are trying to locate a high school student who went missing after leaving school on Wednesday. 

They are looking for Angelina Roberts. 

The Abingdon Police Department says Roberts left Abingdon High School with an unknown person this afternoon. She was last seen getting into a small blue sedan. 

Investigators are asking Abingdon High School students to come forward with any information they may have about her disappearance. Abingdon police say she made a phone call on a borrowed phone while at school but deleted the number she called. She was seen leaving the school in the blue sedan shortly thereafter. 

Roberts has ties to the Blountville and Mountain City areas in Tennessee according to police. 

Police say she has brown hair, blue eyes, weighs 120 lbs. and is 5’5” tall.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Abingdon Police Department at 276-628-3111 or Washington County, VA Dispatch at 276-676-6277. Police say if you see Roberts you should call your local police agency immediately.
