28 people arrested; allegedly trafficked methamphetamine from California to Tri-Cities region


Twenty-eight people from California, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee were arrested for allegedly trafficking methamphetamine from California to southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee in a joint effort between federal and local authorities. 

United States Attorney Thomas T. Cullen was joined in announcing the arrests by officials from the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office and the Sullivan County, Tennessee Second Judicial Drug Task Force. 

The arrests stem from an investigation that began in 2017 named ‘Operation California Dreamin’. During the investigation authorities learned the suspects were trafficking methamphetamine from California and redistributing it in southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee. 

Those charged are:

  • Donald Zachary Snyder
  • James Skyler Sebastian
  • Larry Levi Bennett
  • Terry Melvin Dalton
  • Heather Ashley Davis
  • Brianna Nicole Woodby
  • Donald Shane hawthorne
  • Gary Lee McFarlane
  • Elizabeth Pauline Eaton
  • Matthew Todd Mullins
  • Anthony Chadwick Harless
  • Kimberly Ann Drake
  • Brandon Heath Whitt
