2 charged with possession of narcotics in a school zone

Two people are facing charges after narcotics and drug paraphernalia are found in their car near Hampton High School Wednesday.

According to the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over 34-year-old Tabitha Jo Drummond and 36-year-old Justin David Drummond because the car they were in did not match the description from their license plate. During the traffic stop, deputies found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside their vehicle. 

Both are being held in the Carter County Detention Center. Justin Drummond is being held on a $10,000 bond. Tabitha Drummond is being held on a $11,000 bond.
