Democrat Phil Bredesen is holding on to a slight lead in the Tennessee Senate race. That’s according to the newest poll.
The NBC News / Marist survey found Phil Bredesen with a two point lead over United States Congressman Marsha Blackburn, the Republican nominee for Senate.
Bredesen – 48
Blackburn – 46
Bredesen’s lead is within the margin of error for the poll.
The same poll shows a much bigger lead for Republican Tennessee gubernatorial Candidate Bill Lee.
Fifty-three percent over Tennesseans surveyed said he’s their pick over Democratic nominee Karl Dean, the former Mayor of Nashville.
Lee – 53
Dean – 40
The deadline to register for the November election is October 9th.
