Kingsport Police search for Burger King attempted robbery suspect

KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) – Kingsport Police Department officers are searching for a man who tried to rob a fast food restaurant Monday morning.

According to a KPD news release, a man went into Burger King on North Eastman Road before 6 a.m. and showed a gun.

The employees were able to get out of the back of the restaurant and the man left empty handed.

Police said the man should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who can identify the man seen in the surveillance video is asked to call KPD Criminal Investigations Division at 229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 246-9111.
