JOHNSON CITY, TN- The Tennessee Titan caravan rolled into Johnson City late Friday night, giving fans a chance to get pictures and autographs with three members of the team at Academy Sports and Outdoors.
One of those players wide receiver Justin Hunter. Hunter, a former Tennessee Volunteer, was the fan favorite at the event.
“Glad to be on this side of town again,” said Hunter. “It was a long trip, definitely got stuck in traffic, but it’s good to see people were waiting for us.”
The current Volunteers are gearing up for the Battle at Bristol, a game Hunter will certainly be watching.
“It’s all love with me and my old teammates,” said Hunter. “The news guys there, they’re getting the chance to play at Bristol and I do wish I was there, but either way they’re going to win.”
News also broke just before the caravan arrived in Johnson City that the Titans had agreed to a multi-year extension with tight-end Delanie Walker. Hunter couldn’t have been happier for his teammate.
“He definitely deserved it,” Hunter said. “He came in and put a lot of work in. Always telling him he’s a great player and everything like that, so it’s good to see he’s getting recognized for his actions.”
