Jonesborough man accused of triple murder back in area

WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – A man accused of murdering three of his family members, prompting a multi-state manhunt earlier this month, was returned to the area Wednesday night in the custody of Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Daniel L. Henry, 38, of Jonesborough, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his parents and his aunt — Robert Kenneth Henry, 66, Melody Diane Henry, 55, and Barbara June Hammonds, 64.

Following the brief manhunt, Henry was captured and arrested in New Orleans by U.S. Marshals, the New Orleans Police Department and the Louisiana State Police.

Henry arrived at the Washington County Detention Center around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
