(WJHL) – Johnson City commissioners voted to purchase land for a sports complex.
The thirty six-acre tract of land is next to Winged Deer Park. That’s the city’s current public use area along Highway 11E.
The vote was four to one with commissioner Todd Fowler voting no. He said the price was just too high.
Commissioners also approved the sale of a tract of land connecting Winged Deer Park to the newly purchased tract of land.
