JCPD: Woman to face auto burglary, theft, shoplifting charges

JOHNSON CITY (WJHL) – Johnson City Police Department officers arrested a woman July 4, following a June 18 investigation into an auto burglary reported at 1410 E. Main St.

According to a JCPD news release, the victim reported that while she was working, someone – later identified as Misty Dale Gardner, 40, of Johnson City – had taken the license plate from her vehicle, as well as shoplifted items while in the store.

A warrant for Gardner was obtained on June 23 on auto burglary, theft under $500 and shoplifting under $500 charges.

Gardner was arrested July 4 and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where she was being held on $12,000 bond.
