House Democrats request President Trump’s tax returns from IRS

House Democrats are officially coming after President Trump’s tax returns.

The House Ways and Means Committee Chair Richard Neal has formally requested the President’s tax retuns from the IRS, launching a new legal battle for the administration that could last months or even years.

Neil is using a little known IRS code to request six years of Trump’s personal tax returns and returns for eight of his businesses.

President Trump says he won’t turn over his returns while he is under audit.
