Greeneville, TN – Exercise is an important tool in diabetes management, according to Erin Franklin, local coordinator of the CREATION Health program.
Franklin will be keynote speaker Monday, Sept. 14, during a lecture at Takoma Regional Hospital’s Everett and Carolyn Coolidge Volunteer Conference Center. The event will be held from 11 a.m.-noon, as part of the hospital’s diabetes support group meeting.
“It is amazing how impactful simple changes can be,” Franklin said. “For example, taking a walk each day can significantly reduce complications from diabetes.”
Franklin graduated from Texas Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and from Southwestern Seminary with a master’s degree in Christian education/Christian recreation.
Light snacks will be served at the meeting, and door prizes will be given away. Reservations are requested, but not required. If you plan to attend, please contact Louisa Hammer, a certified diabetes educator and host of the event, at 636-0308.
