Elizabethton native Justin Stanton wins 2nd Grammy Award

LOS ANGELES (WJHL) — Hours before the televised portion of the 58th annual Grammy Awards, the group “Snarky Puppy” won Best Contempory Instrumental Album Grammy for “Sylva”.

Elizabethton native and ETSU graduate Justin Stanton plays trumpet and keyboard in the Brooklyn, NY based band.

It was a second Grammy win for Snarky Puppy who won in 2014 for “Best R&B Performance”.

On “Sylva”, Stanton and Snarky Puppy collaborated with Dutch ensemble “Metropole Orkest”.
