Educator of the Week: Tracy Good of Cherokee Elementary

News

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL)  – Tracy Good is not just good   – she’s great. She’s been teaching first grade reading, math, and writing at Cherokee Elementary School for 8 years. A quick trip into her class shows a group of students buzzing with excitement about learning.

Good tells me she tries to find each students learning style and teach towards that’s style.

Good is a mother of three who has spent nearly her entire life volunteering with young people and after her three children grew up she just knew this is what she wanted to do.

“I did a lot of work at my church working with toddlers, working with infants, and working with babies. So, I really had a heart for that.  So that was the drive for me to go back to school. So, I was able to impact and make a difference in children’s lives,” said Good.

Congratulations to Tracy Good, This week’s Educator of the Week.
