Elizabethton, TN (WJHL) – The out pour of local support from the community continues for a local man diagnosed with ALS.

We told you about Dr. Josh Wandell when he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease and have kept you up to date with the struggle of that disease.

We found a boy who has decided he wants to continue his support through a fund raising campaign.

Lucas Murphy is selling all of his childhood books and donating the money to Dr. Wandell.

“I didn’t think it was going to turn out to well and then we just started raising money and I think we did a pretty good job on this. I could be doing other stuff but I think this is just way too important than doing anything else”, said Murphy.

Lucas says there he admires Wandell and that this is just a small way that he can help a man that has meant so much to him.Copyright WJHL 2016. All rights reserved.
