Dickson County High School basketball coach resigns amied investigation


CHARLOTTE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Dickson County High School basketball coach has resigned while under investigation for a complaint.

The Dickson County Director of Schools, Dr. Danny Weeks, confirmed to News 2 Saturday that Creek Wood High School girls head coach Tom Mullinicks has stepped down.

Mullinicks is currently under investigation by the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office following a complaint received in February.

Authorities have not commented on the nature of the complaint.

The open coaching position was posted on the school district’s website Friday.

Mullinicks remains on administrative leave for his teaching position.

Creek Wood High School is located in Charlotte, Tennessee, just 37 miles west of Nashville.
