JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Authorities say one person was taken to a hospital and another person was arrested after a shooting Monday afternoon.
According to the Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), deputies responded to the 200 block of Furnace Road after receiving a 911 call around 2:25 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they found Allen England, 47 of Watauga, standing in the road with a gun on the ground next to him, according to the WCSO.
England was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center.
According to the sheriff’s office, one person was taken to a hospital. The extent of the reported injuries was not released.
England was charged with one count of aggravated assault.
