Two people are facing charges after police say they assaulted and kidnapped a man from a convenience store.

The Johnson City Police Department has charged Richard Owens, 52, and Ramona Delgado, 20, with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault.

The victim told investigators he got into an argument with Owens and Delgado at the Roadrunner Market at 1001 S. Roan Street and was struck in the head and thrown into the back of a vehicle. He said the duo took him to a location in Carter County where they assaulted and held him against his will for several days before he managed to escape.

Owens and Delgado were arrested Sunday and taken to the Washington County Detention Center with bond set at $50,000 each.
