KPD: Kingsport road reopens after early morning crash


KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Kingsport Police Department confirms the roundabout near East Ravine Road is now open after an early morning crash.

According to the KPD Blog, “The crash that caused the earlier closure remains under investigation. No additional details are available at this time.”


The Kingsport Police Department confirms they’re working the scene of a crash on Watauga Street at East Ravine Road.

This is as of 2:45 a.m.

At this time, utility lines are down and the intersection is temporary closed.

According to KPD, “Area motorists are encouraged to be aware of this situation during their morning commutes, plan ahead, avoid the area, and seek an alternate route. Anyone already in the immediate area is asked to slow down, be patient, pay attention, and follow all traffic instructions.”
