BRISTOL, VA (WJHL)-The Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion draws big crowds and big dollars to the area.
That’s why the Birthplace of Country Music decided to have an economic impact study conducted.
The study, revealed today, showed more that forty nine thousand people attended the festival in September. Bringing an economic impact of 16 million dollars to the area.
The study also revealed 178 full-time jobs were created as well as one-and-a-half million dollars in business tax as a result of visitor spending during the three day event.
The event cost was set a 1.4 million dollars and they saw a return investment of 11 dollars and 47 cents fore every dollar spent.Copyright 2015 WJHL. All rights reserved.
